Ugh! I texted the wrong recipient!
Alright, so I’m at home chilling after dinner, dessert and dishes, and decided to text my girl. This friend and I chat deep. So this one night as I was chilling, but feeling in a venting mood and ready to let off some personal steam I sent my girl a text. I sent her a long text regarding this particular person who I was interested in- and omgosh people, did I ever get deep.
I added specific info in the text about him and the way he is, and how I feel about him when he behaves a certain way. Yeah, I got deep, but it was genuine to say the least. My intuition told me to erase some of the stuff, and I did. I tried to rewrite it a different way, but still kept getting too deep.
Well fortunately for me I listened to my intuition and didn’t put everything in the text I wanted to say!!!!!! Lol. That’s right I say fortunately for me, because man oh man, I sent the text to the wrong recipient. I sent the text to the guy whom I was referring to in the text itself!
Needless to say the man called me immediately! He took no time at all bothering with texting back! lol.
At first he didn’t even tell me I sent the text to the wrong recipient. He just said “So, is there something you wanna say to me?”
He sounded suspicious so I knew something was up and decided to play along. I said “Ummm, maybe why? Is there something you wanna hear?”
He laughed and said “You sent a text to me and it’s obvious it was meant for someone else, but the text was about me.”
Lolololol people, I just about died on the spot when he told me that!!!! I immediately starting racking my mind trying to recall what I wrote in the text and as my heart was beating out of my chest I still tried to play it off and said “How do you know I didn’t send the text to you purposely?”
He said “No, I know you, and you sent this by mistake.”
His intuition was dead on, and I’m a straight up kinda cat, so I graciously fessed up, but was thankful when he had to take a business call a second later!
Lol, as soon as I got off the phone I immediately checked the text I accidentally sent to him. Gladly enough the text really wasn’t so bad. But like I said, I erased quite a few things. Thankfully I listened to my inner voice..
Obviously the experience was trying, but a learning experience all the same, and a lesson I will not soon forget.
Just make sure you check the recipient every time you send a text. I usually do so I have no clue how I mixed things up, but hey, I guess double checking is a good thing too. After all, error happens more often then not and especially when it comes to technology.
