Have a bloated belly, or bad gas? Most people know that beans, broccoli, and onions can cause gas, but many do not suspect fruits, soda's, and milk. Fructose (a sugar commonly found in fruits) and lactose (a sugar commonly found in dairy products) are common causes of gas, bloating, abdominal cramps and diarrhea.
Certain racial and ethnic populations are more affected than others, including 75% african americans, Jews, Hispanics, and 90% Asian.
If you fall into the bloated, gas category there are tests available, which you can speak to your physician about, that will indicate whether or not you are intolerant.
